Software Development Project Manager

is looking for an honest, entrepreneurial, detail oriented,
sincere, well mannered and professional project manager to
participate in our skyrocketing growth.

We're looking for a motivated individual to
help manage Tometa’s worldwide software development teams.
You'll also work closely with Product Management, Marketing,
Operations, Strategic Planning, Quality Assurance, Technical
Support and Enterprise Services.
You do not need to be a programming expert
for this position, just have broad knowledge of programming
techniques, technologies, well organized and financially
astute.
We seek an individual who has technical
vision, is capable of understanding complex business
requirements quickly and who preferably has a background in
Microsoft programming technologies. The ideal candidate will
have solid management and capable development skills in C#
or Java or another modern language, however an expert
programmer is not required. Just enough understanding to be
able to relay requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Project planning, scheduling and tracking
of application development cycles
• Day to day management and oversight of all development
efforts
• Performance management and career development of software
engineers
• Attracting and retaining professional software engineers
• Maintaining positive relationships with peers and other
teams
• Misc business related duties associated with a growing
company
• Standards & Procedures—define coding standards and
development cycle best practices and methodologies, and
monitor for adherence.
• Software Project Leadership—broad project team
collaboration for planning, review, reporting, change
control; development team work planning.
• Capacity Planning/Resource Management.
• Production Support—provision and monitor for appropriate
responsiveness and support for production systems,
applications, and SLAs.
• Management Reporting—provide general status and activity
reporting as required.
• Comprehensive Staff Management—mentoring, moral, job
satisfaction, recognition, personal and professional
objectives and development, performance management.
• Solution Design & Development—participate in solution
design and development by actively designing solutions,
writing code and conducting unit testing.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Tuning—participate in
troubleshooting, and performance tuning and optimization
activities within the team.

• 3+ years of software development experience is required,
school counts!
• Experience in interfacing with customers to define
effective, scalable products and services is required
• Ability to manage professional software engineers

• Must have ability to manage large-scale projects under
significant constraints, such as short time frames.
• Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and
verbally is required.
• Must have ability to direct the activities of subordinates
in planning, organizing, scheduling, monitoring and
evaluating.
• Knowledge of .NET architecture platform and related
technologies is a big plus
• Knowledge and experience in either Microsoft Windows
development technologies or Java development technologies
• Work from verbal and written instructions of varying
levels of detail
• Ability to take direction from a Director
• Effectively manage both personal and work needs
• Exhibits a high level of individual initiative and self
motivation
